Robert J. Williams, Jr. is the firstborn son of Rev. Dr. Robert J. Williams, Sr. and Dr. Lillie R. Williams of Fort Washington, Maryland. After completing his high school education in the public school system of Prince George's County, Maryland, Rev. Williams, Jr., earned a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Divinity degree from Howard University in Washington, D.C.

Reverend Williams, Jr., was licensed to ministry in 1990 and ordained in 1995. From May 1996 to May 2013, he served as Pastor of the Good Hope Baptist Church in King George, Virginia. In October 2014, he was installed as the 17th Pastor of St. Paul Church. He serves concurrently with his father.

Rev. Williams, Jr. earned the designation of Certified Public Manager (CPM) via a Regional Executive Development Program jointly directed by The Metropolitan Washington Council of Governments and George Washington University. He also completed a Fellowship with the Congress of National Black Churches.

In his professional career, Rev. Williams, Jr., served as Council Administrator for the Prince George’s County Council. He was responsible for managing the daily operations of the Legislative Branch of government. In 2023, after 30 years of public service, Rev. Williams,Jr., retired from County government. Pastor Williams is married to Demetriss Williams. They have four daughters, two son-in-laws, and two grandchildren.
